Online Application at the International Office

Application for max. 3 destinations of choice, listed by priority

The following documents must be submitted per email as 1 single PDF (filled in on the computer) to erasmus-outgoing(at)

  • Application form with photo and signature
  • Letter of Motiviation with academic justification (German or English)
  • CV (German or English)
  • a certificate of the language skills needed at the host institute (accepted certificates; see requirements -> list of partner institutions; students who cannot document the required level at the time of application should submit current course certificates)
  • Current Transcript of Records
  • Planned courses (students are asked to check the course catalogue of the potential host institutions in order to find our whether their planned study program is feasible; no prior talks with the Dean of Study Affairs are encouraged; the aim os for students to plan the academic aspects of their stay carefully)

  • Submission of further documents at the partner institution. You will receive detailed information directly from the partner institution. Please note that your nomination is only final after the partner institution has confirmed your place.
  • Study Programme: Learning Agreement und Prerecognition (Vorausanerkennung)
    Both documents should be handed in together.

    • Prerecognition: prior to the stay you have to create a "Vorausbescheid“ through MedOnline -> see information about prerecognition
      Please note: Minimum academic performance - for the mobility grant you need to accumulate at least 3-ECTS Credits recognised at Med Uni Graz for each month spent abroad. Irrespective of this minimum study achievement, students should take courses of 30 ECTS-Credits per semester. (corresponds to (corresponds to the academic performance of a semester).
  • Online language assessment (OLS): You will be requested to carry out a language assessment online. the link will be sent to you.

Registration/ Erasmus+ Contract Signature in the STUDENTS-Online Database

In order to actually be an Erasmus+ student and to receive the scholarship, you must sign a contract. This will be done via the so-called STUDENTS-Online database. The access data will be sent to you by email on time.


Application for an extension of the study abroad period

Possible extensions of the ERASMUS+ study period must be discussed in advance with the outgoing coordinator at the Medical University of Graz. The application for extension form must be submitted by the deadline. Information on the deadlines can be obtained directly from the coordinator.
