  • Language Skills

In case required by the program:

  • Letter of motivation - in the language of the host country
  • Selection of the planned study program

Additional qualifications:

  • Mentoring
  • Medical English/Chinese
  • Other Qualifications (volunteering, ...)

Language Skills

The required language skills depend on the mobility program. The certificates have to be sbmitted either at the time of application or the beginning of the stay.

CPY abroad: B2 language skills of the language of the host country and/or the working language of the hospital (documentation, patient contact) are required.
South Tyrol and Switzerland: if the working language of the hospital is German (documented in the Learning Agreement) no other proof needs to be submitted.
If the native language of the student is the same as the language required in the hospital, the native language counts as langauge proof.

English:
Reference in brackets for B2.

  1. TOEFL internet based Test (e.g. B2 = 72 Points)
  2. IELTS-Test (e.g. B2 = 6 Points)
  3. Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (e.g. B2= mind. 160 Point)
  4. Cambridge Proficiency English
  5. Confirmation of passed course from language institutes or centers e.g. treffpunkt sprachen, Internationales Sprachenzentrum Graz (when in doubt, ask us)
  6. Oral Assessment treffpunkt sprachen
  7. High school graduation in English (Reifeprüfung in Austria = B2)
  8. Graduation from an English taught study program (Bescheid)

Other languages:

  1. Confirmation of passed course from language institutes or centers e.g. treffpunkt sprachen, Internationales Sprachenzentrum Graz (when in doubt, ask us)
  2. Oral Assessment treffpunkt sprachen
  3. High school graduation other langugage (Reifeprüfung in Austria = B1)
  4. Graduation from an English taught study program (Bescheid)

Online language courses, self-evaluations are not sufficient proof.

Insurance

Through the Austrian Students' Union (ÖH) you are accident and liability insured during your stay abroad  (Attention: this accident and liability insurance is not vaild for the USA, Australia and Canada).
This is, however, not a general health insurance!

We strongly recommend to take out a private health and accident insurance for your stay abroad.
